Strobist Meet-up Dadipark (part 1)
Yesterday I attended my very first “Strobist Meetup”-experience. And it was totally awesome! We had a great location, shooting in the old abandoned “Dadipark” entertainment park. The models where very easygoing and made this a really memorable experience. My gratitude goes out to my fellow photographers who tought me so much. Working together with a model and another photographer really opens up your view on shooting on location.
And a final “thank you!” to Sam for organizing all of this!
Subject of the first series is Richard. Enjoy!
Sealife
Last weekend, me and my wife went to Sealife in Blankenberge and I wouldn’t be much of a photographer if I didn’t try to capture the ‘wild’-life on digital sensor (film?). So here’s the result of some experimenting:
Shutter drag
This weeks lesson (photography class) was about dragging the shutter to create some neat effects with lights. So we took off to a nearby bridge over the highway to try this out. Incedentally we also ended up in a freshly plowed field during sunset.
Here are my results:
Sint-Martens-Latem (part 2)
In this weeks photography class we went out on a fieldtrip to Sint-Martens-Latem, a village nearby. Also known as the most expensive city to live in the whole region. The goal of this trip was to experiment and learning how to see a “good” image.
Surrounding the church, where we previously met the ferrari, there was a small graveyard. Probably that small because not a lot of people can afford to live in Sint-Martens-Latem. I got some pretty interesting shots from that place. Again some hard post-processing for a more edgy look, which is suitable for graveyards in my opinion.

Of course, as soon as we saw the ferrari that was parked in front of the church we we’re all over it like some crazy paperazzi gathering. Here’s my result:
