Ravenhof

Last week I had an impromptu photosession ‘just for fun’ with a good friend of mine in some abandoned industrial building in Ghent. The shoot only took 2 hours but I like the results a lot.

My gratitude goes to Sandra who was willing to pose for me in such a dirty location and her husband Karel who proved to be an able assistant during the shoot.

Enjoy the set…

Strobist meetup Doel III

This is the last batch of images from the Doel strobist meetup. I’m going to wrap this up with Lynn’s slideshow, enjoy!

Strobist meetup Doel II

The next batch of images from last weeks strobist meetup features my niece Jana, who I presented in an earlier post as camera-shy…

Things like that tend to change when I’m around :)

Strobist meetup Doel I

Last sunday I organised a strobist meeting in Doel, probably one of the last times we’ll be able to go there. The meeting was a huge success and contrary to the last meeting there was an abundancy of models to work with. FYI: 6 photographers and 8 models to choose from…

After having plowed through the majority of my shots I hearby present you the first model to appear: Nathalie

Strobist meetup Deinze III

Last one in the series (for now at least). Since we had 6 photographers on the scene and only one model, we came up with the brilliant idea to just ask one of the parc visitors if they were interested to model for us, and apparantly we look really thrustworthy because the first person we asked immediately agreed to work with us.

So withouth further ado, I bring to you: Lisa, impromptu strobist model.

Strobist meetup Deinze I

Today I attended the monthly strobist meetup organised by the Belgum Strobist Group. As always we had a lot of fun, learned a lot from/to each other and created some wonderful art in the progress.

Here’s the first batch of images that’s been processed. Due to a lack of models we used Tuffer as a stand-in, which proved to be a very good choice.

Lighting setup for these shots was a beauty dish to camera left, slightly above the subject.

[UPDATE] Added 1 more picture of this series because it fits here.
